House of gg :: tilifi is a nonprofit based in Little Rock Arkansas, that runs a small gathering space for Black transgender women from around the South to come spend the weekend to take meet Miss Major, rest, and rejuvenate. 

The Managing Director is responsible for managing the organization’s day-to-day activities and operations, directing and supporting the work of staff, overseeing Family Gatherings, and leading the organization’s fund development efforts. The Managing Director will ensure that the organization is fiscally sound and that its Gatherings, internal and external communications, and fund development meet the vision, goals and spirit of the organization

Duties include:


  • Process mail, email, voicemail on behalf of org and Founder

  • Coordinate travel and per diems for Family Gathering participants 

  • Assist local staff with administrative needs

  • Tech support and troubleshooting 

  • Maintain calendar for org

  • Maintain org files and ensure org is in compliance with rules and regulations.


  • Assist founder: carry out Founder’s vision for the Oasis and Family Gatherings. Reports back to founder and gets feedback. 

  • Organizes and facilitates staff and board meetings, ensures that duties identified at meetings are carried out 

  • Helps develop internal documents (i.e. org chart, supervision and support structure, hiring announcements, etc)


  • Identifies and pursues grant, major donor, and grassroots fundraising leads, including preparing and submitting grant proposals and reports, preparing regular grassroots campaigns, meeting with major donors, maintaining donor databases, working with contractors and volunteers as needed. 

  • Manages online fundraising accounts


  • Manages all social media accounts, creates/edits content, and ensures regular posting for each, working with staff and contractors as needed in order to maintain a presence. 

  • Makes updates to website, working with contractors if needed.

  • Sends out regular org updates to our supporters. Responds to media inquiries and other matters on behalf of the organization.

  • Maintain relationships with allied organizations and individuals. 


  • Create and implement staff, board, and volunteer onboarding, support, and supervision

  • Enroll and track staff benefits and PTO with support from Finance Director 

  • Works to help expand Board of Directors


  • At least 2 years as an executive director of a nonprofit or similar organization

  • Strong work ethic and fully self-motivated and self-directed, able to work without supervision

  • Good sense of humor and someone who works hard and also knows how to kick back and have a good time

  • Good at written and verbal communication 

  • Experienced at supervising people and building leaders

  • Experience and commitment to working with people with disabilities

  • Experience with fundraising (grassroots and foundation funding)

  • Personal and/or professional experience within Black transgender women communities

  • Ability to work in-person and on-site in Little Rock, Arkansas

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: $58,000-$65,000 annually

  • Benefits: Health and dental insurance, generous paid vacation, holiday and sick leave.

  • Must be able to work weekdays and also weekends, holidays, and evenings when Gatherings are in session. 

  • This is a permanent position, however the starting contract is for an initial six months to ensure the hire is a good fit for both the organization and the person hired.
